I'm back!

I've returned. It's been over a year since I've posted, but I finally got myself back into art school part time and I'm doing what I love again. You'll be seeing a lot more from me from now on, now that I have a regular avenue to produce art.

I'm stoked.

October WIPs

I'm a fickle beast, so I'm working on a variety of projects right now, including but not limited to:

a) a humorous recap of a wedding I went to at the beginning of October
b) an illustrated tribute to Dana Lyon's "Cows with Guns"
c) a comic-style panel regarding chess pieces

(a sample of each are, in order, the picture for this post)

For a), I have all of the original artwork done, it's merely a matter of going over all of it in Photoshop and getting some color added in. I like all of the originals, though some of the Photoshop items are not coming out as nicely as I would have looked. I'll be the poor craftsman and blame my tools.

On b), I kind of put a hold on that one a while back - I had been doing all the drawings for it in like August, but then work got me swamped and I haven't touched it again. I'm trying to reignite the fire on that one and get it rolling again. The original work I was doing on it was in Illustrator, but after playing in both for my works, it seems like a full project like this in Illustrator would absolutely devastate me.

And c), it's just a little something I started working on late last night as I was trying to think of something cool to draw. It's in my usual cartoon-y style, and I at least think it's funny.

Hopefully all of these will come to fruition, but knowing me I'll probably set at least two of them down and maybe even all three. Let's hope for the best, and hope one of these will be done in the next month.
